Our problem is that the white elephant bhaktas are competing for temple jobs with newly arrived Indians. Sri Ravi Ramjan is all upset, saying, ” Is this what I came to America for? I want to send my son to college and I figured that temple jobs are the key to our future. Besides that, back home we used to clean Krishna Temple with weed broom but here in America we have wonderful broom from China. We love everything in USA.”

As a result of this crisis the temple president is doing most of the jobs himself. He reports that the local Teamsters Union are considering picketing the temple in protest. We’re all worried that the devotees are ripe for harvest by the AFL-CIO and Longshoremen Unions.

Taking advantage of the PPP (Post Program Paralysis) syndrome suffered by most temple devotees after a 4 hour morning program and breakfast, members of the Resurgency have been reported doing illicit devotional service in the morning while temple residents are napping.

The Resurgency is a shadowy group of devotees who live and work outside the temple but have been unable to forget Krishna.

They have been known to do spot cleaning in short bursts, constantly moving. They have also been observed weeding in the garden and picking up litter on the grounds.

Bolder more coordinated attacks have resulted in less visible rooms being painted.

There are even unconfirmed reports of IEBs (Intentionally Emitted Books) being distributed along roadsides.

Temple authorities have disregarded most such reports and characterized any such persons as “a few remaining hardliners” and encouraged business as usual to continue.
